Job Description

Key responsibilities: 

  • - Quality and prudent decisions for facilities approved. 
  • - Compliance with target turnaround time and the agreed SLAs with different units.
  • - Develop, implement, review and comply with the bank’s credit policies/manuals/checklist/other standards.
  • - Ensure Central Bank Credit Prudential regulations are complied with.
  • - Ensuring all credit teams are up skilled throughout.
  • - Convene monthly credit committee meetings.
  • - Preparation of Board papers.
  • - Department Leadership
  • - Other subsidiary administrative roles


Job requirements:

  • - University Degree in a business-related field and an MBA is an added advantage
  • - Minimum of 5 years of Credit banking experience in management level within the credit function, 
  • - A good understanding of Credit Analysis and Risk Management
  • - Have Excellent Relationship Management Skills, Customer Service Skills, Marketing & Negotiation, and Financial Analysis Skills
  • - Have knowledge of Trade Finance, Leasing Knowledge, and Knowledge of Structured Finance
  • - Have knowledge of Legal requirements, policies and procedures.
  • - Have Excellent knowledge of Product Development 
  • - Ability to work closely with the business units whilst retaining independence
  • - Effective business writing and professional communication skills
  • - Excellent analytical and problem solving
  • - Demonstrate ability to cope with a changing environment
  • - Have a strong attention to detail
  • - Ability to work at a fast pace
  • - Have methodical approach to prioritize and organize workload to remain within the deadlines
  • - Good leadership and people management skills.
